Morning rain

It’s six thirty in the morning. I woke up. I don’t wake up that early, but I’m happy I can get out of bed at that hour. I hear the rain falling down so heavily.

It’s a bit chilly. I wake up and look at my window near my bed. It’s all foggy.

It’s the perfect time for a cup of coffee. I enjoy every sip and every drop of rain.

It rarely rains. It rarely rains when I’m at my cozy home, having the chance to sit cozily with my cup of coffee.

It’s comfortable. It’s safe. It’s a bran new day – filled with new opportunities.

  1. Lovely, hopeful, and optimistic, Arwa! I’m a morning person anyway. So I look forward to each morning with my hubby, enjoying our coffee. But to be home when it’s raining, I get it. That’s special because of the coziness. You may have inspired me to write a poem. We’ll see. 🙂

    1. I wish had more time in the morning before going to work. But I always tend to drink my coffee while changing and getting prepared. It’s not very pleasant. I wish I can wake up earlier to enjoy the luxury of drinking coffee and listen to nature: rain, wind, birds, etc.
When you write a poem, please send it to me. I want to read it!!

      1. Well, I worked full-time for many years, and now I work part-time, which allows me that time in the morning. But I’m also older than you, so don’t feel bad. Your time will come. 🙂 I wrote a poem after reading your post, but it’s the rough draft, nothing too deep. Do you want me to post it here or email?
