Tick-tock

Tick-tock
The clock is ticking
A day
Few hours
Few minutes
Until the big day
The big day is by all means
Not my wedding
Not The big day
But my big day
My birthday!
The day I turn 29
Twenty nine
My twenties are almost over
I only have one last year
And then I will be a woman
No longer a girl
By all actual means
Twenty nine
My last chance
To enjoy my juvenile years

And then…
I only have a little time
To plan a new life
Write new resolutions
And finally grow up

Tick-tock
It’s almost midnight
I’m twenty nine
My next tick tock will be thirty
And then thirty nine
And then fifty.
And I’m losing time.

Tick-tock
The clock is ticking
I have nothing in my oven.
No one to dine with
And the clock is ticking harder.

Tick-tock
I’m turning twenty nine.

October 12, 2018 (the day before my birthday)
